These images are from a Merle Norman cosmetics ad, 1978. Sure, her features are more defined with makeup but... she looks fine, really. In the "before" picture she has a towel wrapped around her head. That "pre-neurosurgery" look never did anything for anyone, but that's just my opinion.
Cosmetics do NOT make one "radiant". They can certainly make you sparkle!
